The Kenyatta Foundation Stands For

Civil Rights: Equality and Justice for ALL

We see a world where every person—regardless of race, gender, identity, ability, income, or background—can live free from discrimination, fear, and systemic oppression. The Kenyatta Foundation fights for that future by uplifting communities, challenging injustice, and building collective power.

About the Mission

The Kenyatta Foundation is rooted in the belief that civil rights are not negotiable—they are foundational. We are committed to fighting injustice in all its forms by protecting the dignity, safety, and freedom of every individual. Through advocacy, education, and direct action, we stand with all marginalized communities and work to dismantle the systems that deny them justice. Our mission is to ensure that equity is not just an ideal, but a lived reality for everyone.” We are the descendants of enslaved Africans whose ancestors were forced to labor on stolen land. We are reclaiming that land—not just as a form of restitution, but as a step toward healing, justice, and generational empowerment. The same government that returned land to others after genocide must recognize that Black Americans are owed not just acknowledgment, but ownership. We want our land back because our ancestors earned it through their blood, sweat, and stolen lives.

Racial & Ethical Justice

We confront racism and discrimination wherever it exists—whether in policing, employment, education, or media. We work to dismantle white supremacy and empower Black, Indigenous, and communities of color through policy advocacy, community programs, and public education.

Criminal Justice & Prison Reform

We advocate for the rights and humanity of incarcerated individuals and push for alternatives to incarceration, sentencing reform, and an end to mass incarceration. We also support families affected by the justice system and fight for reentry equity.

Gender & LGBTQ+ Equality

Everyone deserves to live free from gender-based violence, discrimination, and erasure. We support the rights of women, nonbinary, and LGBTQ+ individuals through education, legal support, and empowerment initiatives focused on safety, identity, and equity.

Disability Rights

We stand with the disability community to ensure full access, inclusion, and dignity across all aspects of life—from education to healthcare to employment. We challenge ableism and promote universal design and equitable systems.

Economic & Housing Justice

Poverty is a civil rights issue. We fight for fair wages, safe housing, and economic opportunity for underserved communities. We oppose predatory practices and gentrification that displace families and trap people in cycles of poverty.

Health & Environmental Justice

No one should be denied care based on who they are or where they live. We work to eliminate racial and gender health disparities, expand access to affordable care, and ensure safe, clean environments for all—especially communities harmed by environmental racism.

Voting Rights & Civic Empowerment

Democracy only works when everyone can participate. We protect voting rights, fight voter suppression, and empower communities through education, registration drives, and civic leadership training.
